Participating Classes: Class 6 to Class 9

Frequency: Once every 2 months. 

Format: Handwritten. 

Submit To: Guide Teachers.

Process:

  1. Dates will be announced at the start of every 2-month period. 
  2. Topic will be declared upfront for students to work on. 
  3. Guide teachers will be allocated depending on availability and interest of teachers. 
  4. Guide teachers to discourage usage of social media to gather information. 
  5. Student can change this paper n-number of times based on the feedback received from Guide teacher. 
  6. At the end of 2-month period, students need to submit their research paper to guide teacher. 
  7. Guide teacher along with Incharges will filter the papers submitted. 
  8. All qualified students will be called for interviews to identify the below
    1. If the students did the research on his own. 
    1. If the student’s solution or analysis is based on the research that he conducted. 
    1. If the student copy pasted or used any AI tools which impacted the outcome of the quality of the content of the paper. 
  9. All selected research papers submitted by students will go into school blog along with photo of student. 

Format of the research paper: 

  1. Name of the topic. 
  2. Initial understanding about the topic: This can be blank (given that the student has no understanding) or student can state his understanding based on the knowledge he had before starting on this paper. 
  3. Later understanding about the topic: This section needs to highlight student’s understanding of the topic during or after his research on the topic. Student’s understanding can change as he consumes more information, which is completely fine. It is important that students reflect how their opinion changed as they researched the topic. 
  4. Surprise findings: During research, did any of the findings surprise him?  If so what are they and why did the findings surprise the student?
  5. Sources: This is the most crucial section. 
    1. Students need to list our every single source that they have gone through. 
    1. They need to write a very short summary of what they gained from that source. 
    1. During interview section # 3 will be mapped against this section to make sure that they content is not copied but they student has put in efforts to create the paper. 
    1. Any paper clippings, articles, weekly, monthly, should be stacked, numbered, pinned and submitted.
